An innovative fashion designer, Dame Vivienne Westwood has punk rock ties thanks to her link to the Sex Pistols through Malcolm McLaren and the SEX/Seditionaries fashion boutique they co-own.
The mother of punk fashion Westwoods designs were made popular by the Sex Pistols and then other punk bands when they wore clothing from the boutique, which included the beginning of the spiked dog collar revolution that is still seen today.
While her clothing line has tamed somewhat over the years, the use of primary colors in shocking patterns has made her clothing and shoes still highly sought after and fashionable.
